What you get

The outcome you are buying

01

Free calls between your sites

Extensions across offices and plants sit on one system, so internal calls stop appearing on a phone bill.

02

Nothing rings out unanswered

Hunt groups, queues and voicemail-to-email mean an enquiry reaches a person or leaves a trail, instead of a caller giving up.

03

Numbers that follow your staff

Softphones on laptops and mobiles carry the office extension, so a person out of the building is still on the switchboard.

04

Call records you can review

Reports on volume, wait time and missed calls, so you can staff your reception on evidence.

Questions we get asked

VoIP & IP telephony: straight answers

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?

Yes, existing numbers port to SIP trunks in most cases, and the old lines stay active in parallel until the port completes so you never miss a call during the switch. {{TBC: which SIP trunk or telecom providers does Hash normally work with in Chandigarh?}}

Will call quality suffer on our internet connection?

Not if the network is prepared for it. Voice needs very little bandwidth but is intolerant of jitter, so we set QoS on your switches and router to give call traffic priority over downloads and backups.

What happens to our phones if the internet goes down?

Calls fail over to mobile numbers you nominate, so enquiries still reach your staff. Where a site cannot tolerate any outage, we add a second internet link and route voice over whichever is healthy.

Do we need new cabling for IP phones?

Only if your existing cabling is not Cat6 to each desk. IP phones use the same network sockets as your computers and draw power over that cable, so a properly cabled office usually needs switching upgrades rather than new runs.
